An Expert in desert Planting

Wikipedia defines a desert as a barren area of landscape where little precipitation occurs.

Consequently, living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to denudation. About one-third of the land surface of the Earth is arid or semi-arid.

According to scripture, the desert is in a salt land where no one lives.

Denudation is soil erosion. When the part of the soil full of nutrients and elements that can aid plants to grow is swept off .

Arid means lack of rain. A dry land.

You know the desert land may not be a land to serve the purpose of food and nutrition. And you can attest that it is no place for planting and Growth.

Why in the name of God will Isaiah 41:19 say; I will make trees grow in the desert — cedars, acacia, myrtle, and olive trees. I will put pine, fir, and cypress trees growing together in the desert?

An expert is; ‘having or involving a great deal of knowledge or skill in a particular area’. This is as an adjective and not a noun according to Oxford dictionary.

God as an Expert does not only have knowledge and skill in tree planting in the desert, he sustains and grows those trees beautifully. An Expert in doing the Impossibles.

A desert land in the Mediterranean…

I have seen two deserts, all in the Middle East. One in SouthWest Asia and the other in East Asia. Aside from the beauty of the landscape, which is full of sand, the temperature is usually hot, and the direction of wind that blows make it a belligerent environment to live in. Not only for plants but humans as well.

Yet, we have a Father who specializes in planting tress and plants in a desert land. Extra ordinary God.

The impulse of this, he makes seemingly impossible things possible. A miracle working God. One who makes worse situations Great. He specializes in making the ugly beautiful.

I don’t know what troubles you have and challenges you seem to be facing. Here to encourage you to Trust in a Father who calms storms and makes all things beautiful.

He is bigger than our troubles.

If it seems impossible, consider him as the person who plants trees in the desert to come through. Won’t he fix yours? ๐Ÿœ

Exodus 5:3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God. Your desert may be your place of sacrifice. And after every sacrifice and pain is Victory.๐Ÿ’ฅ

Hey you, are you muddling about life issues?

How about you mull over this word to give you comfort…Isaiah 41:10; “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

This is your friendly reminder that, we have a friend who specializes in making Impossible situations Possible!๐Ÿ‘Œ

Whatever the experience may be, remember he Got You.๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ

Gentle Reminders

I have a good friend who lives in the States. We grew up together in the same community & are fond of each other. Her home was next to mine.We celebrated many activities like Christmas, parties, family events & clubs.Celebrating milestones and birthdays were a norm.

This preamble is to give you an idea how close we are.Effortlessly quoting dates and numbers of loved ones growing up, birthdays were no different. A girl has become quite rusty with these numbers now thanks to the usage of smart phones.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

Some years ago,I received a Text from my friend which read; “hey hun,it is my birthday tomorrow”.

Wait a minuteโ€ฆDid a good friend send me a text as a birthday reminder? I was astonished to the core on reminder for a date on my fingertip yet, there was that feeling of thoughtfulness, Empathy and respect.

Question I asked myself was,why will she serve a reminder? You are doing same I guess.

However, her text humbled Me.

It assisted me to operate more in open mindedness & Empathy.Being less Judgemental but more understanding of loved ones and colleagues over expectations of love & concern on what I believe to be important.

There was so much l learnt from this Text which I still live by and thought to share:

  1. It is Okay to serve Reminders
Instead of expecting loved ones to keep important dates,it is okay to remind them. There is so much going on with everyone especially as we age.You get to avoid disappointment & unhealthy expectations.
  2. Be Understanding
I learnt to understand people who forget dates of my special moments. I also learnt to keep zero expectations of loved ones over important events of my life regardless the relationship. They may have genuine issues, engagements or reason.Non- attendance to events should not define hearts nor our derail love.
  3. Being Sentimental
I chose to be rational than Emotional over events like birthdays, graduations, loss of loved ones, etc. I acknowledge how unpleasant it is when those we love so much are unable to be present for us.

Nonetheless, rationality aids so we view a situation from different perspective to avoid being Sentimental.

  1. Empathy
I saw honesty in the action of my friend. Her schedule can be tight. She was graceful enough to put herself in my shoes because she knows how busy it can be for me too sometimes hence reminding me.
  2. Forgive Yourself
Don’t be too hard on yourself when you miss an important event.Take care of you but make the effort & plan for it anyway.

You can do a Pop in(drop by) where time is limited.

I don’t believe in love without action.๐Ÿ‘Œ

I however appreciate that,it is okay to remind others about events & meetings. Those we love. Our partners, best buddies & colleagues.๐ŸŒŸ

And when they are unable to make appearance in situations we served reminders,I learnt not to take it to heart but be kind enough to understand.๐Ÿ’ฅ

Struggling to forgive a love one over their absence? It is okay to serve Reminders.๐Ÿ’œ

What we Really mean when we say He Turns Evil for our good…

The fundamentals and assurance of loving God for me is, we are confident that, he is faithful, kind, just, loyal and a loving father. He is that one person who will love you beyond flaws and sort you out beyond measure.

I did a study of my life with hurdles and challenges encountered right from childhood and mine!

No one will be able to convince me that what is actually evil is not so evil after all in the long term.

Evil is synonymous to Good in my dictionary.

It only depends on your perspective and how you handle it. I won’t lie about the pain in enduring evil ๐Ÿ’” Nonetheless, that pain is worth the good at the end.

The good book in Genesis talks about how evil will be meant for us, but it will automatically be turned to good in the long round. Genesis 50:20

The advantage of the supposed evil is strength, courage and resilience we build well disguised.

This may not be outlook for most of us. Until we see the good, the worry and pain in evil may dorminate our lives.

What I have to say to you; “do not fret and fear” when evil and challenges come your way.

If you are reading this write-up with my header, trying to assimilate it for the first time, be assured every negative thing that happens in your life has a positive ripple effect. At the end, it ends well.

You should Never feel defeated in a situation or circumstance that seems to have overshadowed you and clouded your thoughts, especially when your heart and intentions are right.

We are more than Conquerors through Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:37. King James Version … Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

I have countless stories and instances of God turning evil for my good.

Instances in my Senior secondary education and what happened after my documents from Junior High School were misplaced in the GES system, to challenges at the beginning of tertiary and even at my MBA level, yet they all ended in my Favour. These are stories for another day by the way.๐Ÿ˜…

As an adult, how mean situations initiated by others ended as a good turn to me. I have lost count of the goodness of God and the Great lessons that made me a better person there after.

So, while you read now, go back in thought and recall past experiences.

Even the recent that was unpleasant…

How did it end after everything?

Perhaps you haven’t made time to think of the good in a situation.

But think about it, what did that pain, hurt and heartbreak bring or make you finally? The betrayal and backbiting?

Strength, courage, patience, love, Grit and Everything Niceโค๏ธ

The pain and evil are always worth it, I promise you.

How do you handle dark moments and seasons?

For me, first, because I have a perspective of good in every dark/bad situation, the process with God confirms a beautiful end for me.

Total dependency on God, being realistic about situations, knowing root cause and finding solution with solace, wisdom and strength from the big one up who knows the end from the beginning. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ฅ

Here to poke your thought and emotions on fact that, what is always meant for evil will be turned to your good.๐Ÿ‘

Thanks for Reading and please share how this Encouraged You.๐Ÿ’œ
