Being blessed to see decades of Christmas celebrations as an annual event,I cannot help but see the family ties,bonds & tradition in homes and on the grams.

From a Christian perspective and a Bible believing angle,the opportunity to witness a day like 25th December as the birthday of Jesus Christ,the son of our Father Above is great and humbling to see.

There are several events in a calendar year from the Bible and the world that comes with making merry & festivities, Christmas Tops for me.

Christmas for me as a young girl growing in a community in Ghana came with array of joy, good food, Christmas carols, music, visit to loved ones, the cakes & activities esp. church services.Whoop!!!…,the Air.The Breeze & Weather.

The younger me loved Christmas dishes & took delight in how different & delectable Fried rice taste.The savory aroma.I still believe as an adult Christmas meals taste different.殺 A moment to have assorted drinks esp. fizzy.Even drinking them in quantities & bottles.

Walking within walls and corridors of my community,the dishes of my neighbor’s also smelled different & felt special sensing.Lol The carols played in homes when you walk pass a window…Chills!

I Loved how the Christmas weather was. The Breeze was different,extra ordinary & amazing.I always loved it. Leaves on trees in & infront of homes fell pretty fast in their numbers on the ground every second.

Not forgetting the Christmas parties, dancing to tunes from Daddy Lumba like: “Fine boy,..”You know that song? Giggles!

To going for church services in new clothes with the family,eating more yogurt by getting parents to buy from yogurt sellers at church premises and coming home to sumptuous meals like “Christmas fried rice”,that one taste different, drinks with family & loved ones.

As an adult, the beauty of Christmas for me is reminiscing all these moments that made Christmas as special as a birthday celebration each day & resting.

Watching family photoshoots & portraits online makes my heart glad as a confirmation that people appreciate family which is beautiful.🌟

Finally, to enjoying the food & the weather I so loved, I now know as harmattan.🍷

‘There may be others who are probably celebrating or seeing a Christmas month without loved ones, trying hard to enjoy the season which is difficult to put up things or words together.Even lonely’.

May be it is a chance for you and I to adopt Gratitude.For life around the clock or find that one spot which makes you happy to which you are grateful for.

Ever missed an opportunity that took a toll on you?

Seen yourself miss privileges that hurt? Was someone else given a preferential treatment at your expense?

Did you think or see yourself more deserving of an opportunity, reward but it was channeled somewhere else?

How about the exam you did not pass? 🤔

Well, will it be okay and good to say we have all missed an opportunity or door we thought should have been opened to us, but someone else

And how was the feeling like when those unfortunate situations happened?

People have varied ways of responding to negative situations and events🤔

Sometimes, that opportunity we missed could be God’s own way of protecting and redirecting us. It might sound like a cliche.

However, God always has a Better plan.

I learned that the Hard way, and I can promise you that God always has something better for you.

Our minds and hearts are always fixated on a specific purpose and plan. This gets us completely shattered once these events unfold.

The remedy to being broken in the interim is to keep a more open mind and remember what God has for you, No man can have it.

It may not take off when you expect it, but it will eventually happen.

If for any reason you have a conviction that, what is yours has been taken, Smile…. He will give back a better option.

He has a way of doing it in the most beautiful, unexplainable and amazing manner.

It may not be easy. It may hurt. Nonetheless,the hurt is worth the glory ahead.

When you want to grieve, remember you are better off with what you missed and door that was shut.

Some doors would have harmed you if received.

Some days, you will be okay. Other days, you will not. It is okay not to be okay sometimes. Keep Going. 🌟

His word talks about Newness and open doors. Just believe.👏

What you missed was meant to protect you.🤗

Embrace the new while waiting on the best.💜

I am not a bearer of opinion on the school of thought which reiterates, believes and talk constantly about how bad and wicked people are.

I must confess however, I am always unable to get over the shock from some wickedness I witness in every stage of my life. Mentally, I always hope some people will get better, change from wicked ways and be good people.

Regardless, people are really Nice. People are Sweet. People are Amazing!🏫

While I believe what the good book says about the fact that: ‘the heart of man is desperately wicked and have experiences that speak to that, I also cherish the peculiarities of others hence, my decision on concluding and choosing the niceness of others against how mean they can be.

Constantly seeing how bad, evil and mean others are may put you on a negative trajectory. You might hardly keep an open and happy mind towards others. It may affect how you see the world and treat others, especially yourself.

I prefer to be free minded. I prefer to be Happy not thinking about the wickedness of others even after it hit me by letting go and keep lessons. I prefer to bless others’ lives with love and keep a heart of love than turn hostile as a result of heart of man.

How lucky or unlucky have you been with people? I have uncountable moments of having beautiful encounters with some special people. Right from childhood.

From school and work. Nonetheless,I have had really hard & horrifying moments with some other people in these stages of life.

At some point, I was almost thinking I am not loved by many, but I have been shown so much love by classmates right from basic school to tertiary, colleagues, report’s and superiors that ismind-bogglingg.

Must I dwell on the Negatives? No! I learnt to focus on Positives. I got happier and the Positives multiplied.

God has a way of bringing us good people. In schools, as study partners and friends. In other societies, relatable and reasonable friends and in institutions, lovely colleagues who may have our backs.

During my Undergrad days, missing Accounting lectures and not being able to understand, I was given an angel of a colleague who assisted we with Accounting while I also help him with Psychology. He was happy to help me get it. A kind gesture I cannot forget. Then for my second degree, another angel who cared about not a specific subject I might have had a challenge, he generally wanted to always make sure I am good.

I also had a lady lecturer friend who doubled as a big sister during my Undergrad days. How God gives us Nice people to be there for us can be humbling.

And while working, he gives me another angel or angels who I can confidently go to. People who have my interest at heart and will only want to see me happy, advise me and encourage me should need be.

And in friendships, I have a good friend who does not only laugh with me, but cries with me. I remember when I had to cry over issues with my first boyfriend while in the University. I saw how sad she looked and a tear in her eyes. Priceless moments of friendship and how not only Nice people can be but Kind & Human. 😇 💜

I have had amazing people show me kindness and love. I am certain you have had same. Even strangers!Not only friends and acquaintances.And then I have had bad experiences as well.

Though the shock of dining with demons sometimes took over almost erasing lovely moments, I reiterate that: “People are Nice.” Do you agree?

No matter how hostile an environment may be or People are for you, God always gives you that one person and right people who you can rely on in that season.
