The good book according to Ecclesiastes chapter 3 talks about the availability of time for everything. A time to be born, live, make merry, mourn, sow, read and die but to mention a few which sums up purpose of living. Unbelievably, this is the second time this year I am writing on a topic that has a reflection of “rest”. ‘Reflect’!. To think of it, it is definitely an important and vital element for life we all need to pay attention to. May be reason the Holy spirit keeps bringing it up.ππ₯°
Our poise for success with daily activities, routines and goals to achieve keeps the average person on his toes. Day to day running, engagements, meetings, planning, trading, strategising, executing and putting in work to smash these goals!
Some of us are able to achieve our goals one way or the other. Others, are unable to however, we go through the process which is the most important of the entire activity and affect end result if not present, the future. Every experience counts. With that being said, some of us ruminate about the past, worry about today with task ahead and get nervous about the future.
All these worries come in with the sole nerve of us not appreciating today no matter the outcome and also due to a strong desire of expecting too much from ourselves with little time made to celebrate wins and appreciate the positives in the day. These are done with very little time to reflect and rest.

Question is, how do you feel after every day, week and season of life?
Grateful, unsure, confident, fear, living, thriving or you are just surviving?
Not only that, do you think of rest as a major thing to do after every activity?
Do you reflect on your life, achievements, if any, failures, careers, professions and family? Is it peace, comfort, fear or nightmare you feel when you put in the thought?
And what time is best to reflect?
This is quite a generic question however, recommendations below should help;
Moments of quiet or not having people around us during the day that we have few minutes to spare to ourselves aside work is perfect for reflection. Weekends after errands are run or chores done if any and when family activities are performed for those with families. This might be difficult for new born parents or nursing mothers however it is, you will be fine. π€ To add to it is, end of day before we retire to bed if we can will also be a good time. Early mornings have been noted as one of the best period. You are up, full of energy and newness. That can be an ideal period.
The best of them all is, when we take time off work, off our activities, routines and off things that stress us even if it is family to rest, sleep, drink healthy, eat, read, write, plan and come up with ideas for our good. Best time to consider what we have done daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, seasons or all year to see which areas we did better or otherwise and which areas to improve. Introspection!
What do you do when you reflect?
The Bible in Habakkuk 2:2 talks about writing with the end result of what you wrote speaking for you. So whatever be the thought, goals, dreams, to-do’s and expectations once written down, it will surely speak for the purpose of writing β and will speak for itself. After every thought, develop the habit of penning down what comes to mind no matter its significance. Later, you can seive it to separate the relevant thought or idea from chaff. You also need to put a plan in place. For instance, in my reflection if an idea or a thought drops, I quickly write it down so I am able to have a close look later, plan and execute the best ones to achieve a meaningful result.

Where can I reflect?
Subject to individual interest, habits and personalities, a place to reflect can be home.
Quiet places in the house. Gardens, pool areas, study areas and bedrooms.
If not, a location of our choice outside home with serenity.
Usually, places of hospitality and recreation.
Hotels, spa’s, nature, paint, be with people we love doing nothing but playing and making memories.Being at places we love generally.
That which puts our mind and hearts at ease.
Go watch the sunset, breath the air around the sea and watch it’s breeze, go for camps and others. Travel, refresh and replenish!

What are the essence of reflecting? Here are a few to assist you with:
True rest can come about as a result of reflecting. Physical, psychological, emotional and mental rest. Our health is important. Also an avenue to be more creative. Ideas are conceived here. Time to also plan and assimilate ideas, thoughts, good and bad days. All these give reflection a perfect meaning. Our ability to check ourselves, routines, trends of success and failure can be sweatless if we take time off to reflect. Our ability to touch other people’s life can be built here.
Once we are in a place of peace, it affords us time to think of others and be of positive impact on them and a blessing as we. Finally, the world π awaits our greatness. Let us be Intentional on reflecting to get the most out of life.
One way to work on avoiding being Overwhelmed is to find a place to rest, refreshing and reflect. Anxiety and uncertainties can be curbed if not minimized once we take time to reflect.
“How do I reflect? I rest. Sleep a lot, drink gallons of water.
I naturally drink a lot of water π§ π and read in the process.
Sometimes, it is not necessarily books but articles, writeups, and content good for my body, soul, mind, spirit, career, projection and development.
Most can be found online. Religious content, social and business related eg: Havard Business Reviews.
I travel sometimes. I can travel alone to any part of the world, which hinges on being refreshed. It starts with exploring my home country to see nature and rest in some 5 and 4 star hotels.
The relief and joy this brings me is unimaginable.
Lately, I stay in my bed more. Sipping on natural juices and smoothies, eating healthily well, read and write.
Other days, I do not eat at all but fast. A good exercise for me.
How light I feel with a lot more worship music always and pray sometimes. Where I am unable to pray, I do music.
It helps. Puts me on top of my creativity, working and line of thought aside, feeling refreshed, replenished, and amazing.
How do you Reflect?
The New International Version of the Holy book according to Mark 6:31 reads: “Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, βCome with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.β
Our bodies are the temple that need to be taken good care of. Just as our minds, spirit and soul. We work really hard. Some of us work mercilessly and tirelessly. It is important to find time to eat, rest, replenish and recoup. Reflect!
To conclude, how intentional are you on rest and reflections? We all need to be Intentional to get the most of our bodies, mind, soul and life by resting and reflecting. Being intentional on reflection gives us the most of life and situations. And what is more, God is able to speak with us in those moment.
Mind sharing a few tips with us or some reflection processes and locations that helped you become better or birthed that idea for a course?
Don’t forget you are Amazing!πβ€οΈ
Never Give Up!!!
Loads of love and goodwill.π
